FAQ
How Long After My Airbrush Spray Tanning Session Is It Safe To Resume Normal Activity?
A professionally applied airbrush spray tan takes 6 – 8 hours to fully develop. It’s important to remember not to shower, swim, exercise or perspire excessively. Also, do not apply products to your skin during the development time.
Does the Spray Tanning Solution Provide Any Sun Protection?
No. The spray tanning solution does not provide any sun protection and does not contain sunscreen.
How Does The Spray Tanning Solution Work?
The FDA-approved active ingredient Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), is derived from raw sugar cane or the sugar beet and reacts with the proteins and amino acids on the outermost layer of your skin to produce a golden brown color. The clear DHA solution is mixed with a bronzer allowing you to see instant results once applied – over the next 6 to 8 hours the color builds and then fades naturally through the skin’s exfoliation. With proper maintenance, one application can last anywhere from 7-10 days depending on your daily activity level. After you shower the instant bronzer gently washes away and your natural sunless tan will remain.
Is DHA Safe?
Yes. DHA has been FDA approved since 1973 and is commonly used in many over the counter cosmetic products. The DHA used in the airbrush spray tanning solutions at GLOW Body and Sun are Certified Organic. They contain the highest percentages of organic ingredients you can achieve in the market. The results will be true to you skin tone, without the lingering odor and uneven fade from inferior solutions.
Will the Spray Tanning Solution Stain My Clothes or Other Fabrics?
The instant bronzer will rub-off on sheets, towels and clothing, not to worry… once washed, most fabrics will not stain. However, your more delicate fabrics such as nylon and silk may be permanently discolored.
